"Those Who Pull Stories Out of Boxes" is an art program for all book lovers, adults and children: those who can't read yet and those who read day and night, those who draw stories and those who love to look at pictures, those who have already found their favorite book and those who are still looking for it. And definitely for everyone who wants to create their own!

Next Friday, May 9, at 6:00 PM, we are waiting for you at special events within the project "Art Speaks". The event is non-standard not only because of the time change, but also because of its format: it will combine the usual artist talk and the presentation of a new art venue in the Dnipro.

Our project "Art Speaks" continues! This Saturday, the third meeting will take place, to which we have invited two artists, namely Tamara Safarova and Olena Kharakhulakh.

We often receive requests for classes to return and are eagerly awaiting our students. So we are happy to announce that together with Alina Stefan, we have prepared an updated short art course for children, which will start in a few weeks.

We invite children aged 7 to 10 to a special lesson within the framework of the exhibition "Warm Optics" from its author, an artist originally from Dnipro, Lucy Ivanova.

How to draw a crocodile? What is a drawing? What is paint? What is a painted crocodile? What is a real crocodile? And how to explain all this to the crocodile itself? Or to someone who is completely new here? Let's think together about how everything works and draw it!

"Warm Optics" is an attempt to explore how artistic vision changes through the experience of war, emigration, and motherhood in an unstable world. Lucy Ivanova's works touch on the theme of everyday life, which has changed and is already perceived through the prism of experiences, losses, and a new view of reality. The exhibition can be conditionally divided into three parts: the so-called "Dnieper period" (2017-2022), works from the times of full-scale war, and a new visual language.

"Art Speaks" is an opportunity for artists to express themselves, talk about themselves and their own creativity, the projects they are currently working on, and establish a dialogue with the audience. However, we strive not only to discover new names and provide a platform for self-presentation, but also to create a space for meeting other artists in order to unite the artistic community, help form connections, and establish communication between artists for possible collaborations and new projects.

We want to launch a new project "Art Speaks" - the first meeting will take place this Saturday and we have invited the following three artists: Otchich Kristina, Asya Yakovlieva, and Volodymyr Gabuda. They will share details of their practice, talk about the works they are currently working on, and you will be able to see them live in the gallery during the event.

Many people know that growing exotic plants at home is a rather difficult and painstaking process, but nurturing a child’s love of books, especially in this digital age, is no easier. That is why we want to help encourage little ones to read.

“Where do readers grow?” is a series of conversations and discussions about the sustaining power of reading aloud to children. The goal of the project: to provide parents with tools for spending quality time with their children and show ways to easily introduce the habit of reading into the family’s everyday life, and to engage in book creativity together. During our meetings, you will learn about interesting techniques and materials that can be used at home during reading sessions with children.
