On August 13 at 6:30 PM, we will watch two films by Kharkiv artists Andriy Rachynskyi and Daniil Revkovskyi — “Labor Protection in the Dnipropetrovsk Region” and “Rattling, Knocking, Arguing and Burbling.”
In exactly one week, we will begin a series of film screenings as part of the exhibition "Looking into the Gaps II": there will be 4 screenings, which will be held every Wednesday with a short break in the middle of the program. The films for public viewing were proposed by the project curator Nikita Kadan - we will tell you about the films later, but for now you can familiarize yourself with the schedule in more detail.
On August 16, two artists from Odessa will visit us, namely Sofia Golubeva and Liliya Nebera — after which the project will take a short break.
During the lecture, Sofia will share her experience of living in two countries — Germany and Ukraine, and will talk about her creative path — from her master's degree at NAOMA in 2022 to the present. She will also present key projects of recent years — both home self-organized exhibitions and museum exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. Liliya will talk about the changing perception of artistic practice, her early work, and her latest projects.
On the coming Tuesday and Wednesday — July 15 and 16 — we are forced to suspend the work of the exhibition "Looking into the Gaps II" due to technical reasons!
We will return to the usual schedule from July 17 — please take this into account when planning your visit to the Artsvit Gallery.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding ♥
To talk about art, we invited Mashika Vysedska, who will talk about her urban research, and Mykyta Lyskov, who will share his practice of working with the urban environment, how contemplating the Dnieper helps an artist create meanings and narratives. He will also show photos, videos, and drawings depicting our city.
Today, July 5, the Artsvit Gallery celebrates its 12th anniversary. Twelve years of exhibitions, creative research, interesting conversations and bold steps into the world of contemporary art. And we thank everyone who is with us ♥
This Friday, June 27, at 6:30 PM, Nikita Kadan will lead a curatorial tour of the exhibition "Looking into the Gaps II", where you will learn more about the works selected for the exhibition, their authors, and will also be able to chat with the artist and ask him your questions.
The opening will take place on June 26 at 18:30 simultaneously at two locations - the Artsvit Gallery and the Dnipro Center for Contemporary Culture. This is a continuation of the exhibition that took place at Voloshyn Gallery in Kyiv in the summer of 2024. The project is part of an exhibition cycle dedicated to the topic of gaps in the linear historical narrative and the discovery of new connections between artistic phenomena in Ukraine.
This is the sixth event of our project "Art Speaks" and this time we invited artists who work with themes of Ukrainian cultural heritage.
The day before the finale of the exhibition "Warm Optics", its artist talk will take place and the artist invites you to a conversation about the exhibition, her practice, and creative plans.
After a short break, we invite you to a new meeting within the framework of the project "Art Speaks", which will take place on June 7. We invited two artists to the conversation, namely Kateryna Konyushenko and Katya Salamakha.
For 4 months, we explored the colorful and diverse world of literature together, learned to read and fantasize again, and remembered that reading is actually not a boring activity, but a real journey that begins with bedtime stories for children and remains interesting throughout life, because there are many stories, just like people.
