About changing the familiar landscape and people's connection with the land — join the discussion of the next artist talk

After a short break, we invite you to a new meeting within the framework of the project "Art Speaks", which will take place on June 7. We invited two artists to the conversation, namely Kateryna Konyushenko and Katya Salamakha.

Kateryna Konyushenko is a young multidisciplinary artist from Dnipro/Kharkov. She works with the theme of corporeality and the connection between man and the natural environment. Among the media she uses action, painting, graphics, sculpture, including homemade materials. Currently, she has two optics in her work: corporeality directly and the study of the relationship between man and the land on which he lives or is forced to live.

Katya Salamakha was born in Nikopol, lived in Dnipro for some time, and is currently studying in Lviv. In her practice, the artist balances on the border of memories and present reality, exploring emotional states - her own and those around her. She works with all possible media at hand, including her own hair - everything that can best convey her thoughts. Most often these are photos, paintings, videos, installations.

Next Wednesday, we’re opening an audiovisual installation based on your stories about Dnipro

“The Museum of Forgetting” is a series of projects combining research with artistic expression. It focuses on forgetting as a counterform of memory: the repression of traumatic experiences, the conscious ‘purification’ of the unwanted, gradual disappearance through physical decay, or transformation dictated by the need for renewal. These processes are viewed as multidimensional — material, ideological, collective and personal, yet both mundane and tragic.

Waldemar Tatarchuk returns to Dnipro for the closing of his exhibition and will conduct a tour!

This will be the last day of the exhibition — a kind of finale and, at the same time, an opportunity to see the project and hear about it directly from its author. During the tour, the artist will guide visitors through the exhibition and talk about the ideas behind it, as well as his collaboration with Ukrainian artists, which has become an important part of this project.
