Great news: we have created new merchandise for you to mark the opening of the exhibition ‘Ragged Edge’ — a small zine featuring works by artist Tetiana Pukhnautseva.
The publication is a limited edition of only 20 copies, each with a unique design and number. The cost of this souvenir is 200 hryvnia. All proceeds will be added to our collection for the MEDYCHKA community, which helps medics on the front lines by purchasing tactical slings, functional tourniquets, and laparoscopic instruments.
Before the opening of Tetiana Pukhnautseva's exhibition ‘Ragged Edge,’ we are launching a new charity raffle — this time, you have the opportunity to receive the artist's linocut ‘Sadok’ for a donation.
To participate, simply donate 10 hryvnias to the bank, but you can increase your chances of winning by donating more — the main thing is that the contribution is a multiple of ten. So, to the raffle — micro-donations can also do great things!
This project is the result of long reflections on every weak person and how they live with and within their weakness. It is a search for salvation through focusing on weakness, gathering crumbs, and contemplating poor insignificance. Her works tell about people, although there are few images of them — they seem to be dissolved in emptiness, and the artist tries to capture their features, recognise their faces, distinguish them. Through the lens of weakness, poverty and mutilation, Tetiana also examines images of plants, animals and objects.
We invite you to participate in the Integration Lab project realized simultaneously by the “Sunflower” Solidary Community Center / Museum of Modern Art (Warsaw, Poland) and Artsvit Gallery (Dnipro, Ukraine).
The Lab is a three months (March-June 2024) program of meetings, training sessions and workshops for young artists with an experience of war and displacement. The Lab is established to offer a shared space for action and reflection as well as integration into new communities. It will give emerging artists and creators an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of art, performative activities, and collective practice.
On 6 February, an online showcase of Ukrainian art residencies entitled ‘How to Inhabit Instability?’ took place. It brought together five organisers of Ukrainian residencies, who spoke about their experiences working in Ukraine before and after the full-scale invasion. Among the speakers was Iryna Polikarchuk, director of the Artsvit Gallery.
Dnipro Centre for Contemporary Culture is raffling off Anna Galasyuk's work ‘What Will Happen to You’ for a donation towards a car for volunteers.
