Art collecting — hobby or science? Workshop by Victoria Nikitina on the Artsvit gallery collection as part of a children's art programme

Tomorrow, participants in the youth course ‘About Art Here and Now’ will embark on an exciting journey to the Artsvit gallery’s storage facility. Our collection curator, Viktoria Nikitina, will be their guide to the world of art.

At the workshop, teenagers will learn how works of art are preserved, get acquainted with the works of artists, and see with their own eyes the various artistic techniques that masters use to embody their ideas in works of art. We will talk about the phenomenon of collecting and its exciting experience.

These processes are viewed as multidimensional — material, ideological, collective and personal, yet both mundane and tragic.

Waldemar Tatarchuk returns to Dnipro for the closing of his exhibition and will conduct a tour!

This will be the last day of the exhibition — a kind of finale and, at the same time, an opportunity to see the project and hear about it directly from its author. During the tour, the artist will guide visitors through the exhibition and talk about the ideas behind it, as well as his collaboration with Ukrainian artists, which has become an important part of this project.
