Art historian Olena Godenko-Nakonechna is preparing a lecture-presentation entitled ‘Contemporary Art in Dnipro’ for the anniversary of the Artsvit Gallery

We invite you to attend a lecture by Olena Godenko-Nakonechna on ‘Contemporary Art in Dnipro,’ dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Artsvit Gallery!

The cultural expert will talk about contemporary art in the city, the emergence of the Dnipro school of fine arts: from alternative to official, and the specifics of the local ‘cultural landscape’. She will also highlight the development of the gallery business in Dnipro, the implementation of art projects and the role of art institutions in this, in particular the Artsvit Gallery, the Dnipro Centre for Contemporary Culture (DCCC), etc.

The art historian will focus our attention on prominent figures and notable cultural events of recent decades in the city's cultural and artistic milieu, responses to the tragic events of full-scale war, and the establishment of international contacts to spread Ukrainian narratives around the world.

WHERE: Artsvit Gallery, Dnipro, 21a Krutohirnyy Uzviz. Entrance through the sliding doors from the side of Uspenska Square.
