We Are Launching an Open Call for the Open Studio Programme

The “Open Studio” programme — a series of events with artists working across various media.

We invite you to share your own artistic practice in Dnipro and connect with the local community  through three different formats:

— an artist talk at the gallery, open to the general public;
— a workshop for the art professionals (registration required);
— an informal gathering and tea at the self-organized art space Dniprostir.

The programme offers an opportunity not only to present your artistic projects, but also to share your creative methods and engage with Dnipro's art community through hands-on exchange.

Participants will receive:

—an artist fee;
— coverage of material costs for the workshop;
— videodocumentation of the artist talks;
— covering of travel expenses and one night's accommodation for participants travelling from other cities in Ukraine.

Eight participants will be selected for the programme.

Events will take place on Saturdays throughout September.

The open call is open until 24 August. Applications can be submitted via the link.

Applicants will be notified of the results by 1 September via the email address given in the application form.

The “Open Studio” programme builds on last year's project "Art Speaks", which gave artists an opportunity to present their work and creative approaches to local audiences while expanding their professional networks. The distinctive feature of this year's programme is the opportunity to gain professional experience through collaborative, practice-based workshops.

The "Open Studio" is designed to foster the exchange of experience, ideas, perspectives, ways of thinking, and artistic methodologies, while strengthening ties within the art community.

The residency is part of the «Expanded Learning» program, implemented with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation.
