Friends, tomorrow we will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Artsvit Gallery, and we would be delighted to celebrate it with you!
Our director, Iryna Polikarchuk, will kick off the public programme of events for the institution's birthday with a welcome speech and a talk about the gallery's notable projects, interesting exhibitions, and fruitful residencies. In essence, ‘Where we have been for 10 years.’
You will also be able to hear 14 voices of Ukrainian female artists recorded for a special project within Secondary Archive, an online archive created to promote the work of female artists from Central and Eastern Europe and represent significant phenomena in contemporary art created by women. The installation at Artsvit is open until 5 August, and those who wish to browse the Archive are invited to follow this link: https://secondaryarchive.org/
We have also prepared a surprise for you, our visitors, who have been with Artsvit for so many years, attended exhibitions, wrote kind words in the guest book, liked and shared our posts, participated in various workshops, listened to lectures, and most importantly — stayed with us during this difficult time for the country. Thank you all for that! And on the occasion of our anniversary, we want to give away one of the works from the Artsvit collection by holding a small raffle among the guests of the event.
