Artsvit for Kids. StoryLab: Biology of Fairy Tales

15 листопада 2025 - 20 грудня 2025

Press Release

We invite you to join our autumn-winter course as part of our educational programme ‘'Artsvit for Kids"!

"StoryLab: Biology of Fairy Tales" is an art and science programme for children aged 6–10, where fairy tales come to life through the prism of science. We will create maps of imaginary worlds, draw fantastic creatures, and explore mythical trees, magical plants, water, snow, and ice. Each lesson is a combination of art, nature, and stories that help children feel like creators of their own universe.

The project starts on 15 November. The course consists of six offline classes, each lasting 1.5 hours, which will take place every Saturday at 11:00 a.m. There will also be a final event during the last class of the project.

Class topics:

♦ Maps of the world;
♦ Trees in fairy tales and myths;
♦ Fantastic animals and where to find them;
♦ Treasures and precious stones;
♦ Plants in fairy tales and legends;
♦ Water, snow and ice.

The classes will be held at 21a Krutohirnyi Uzviz, Dnipro, Artsvit Gallery. Entrance through the glass sliding doors from the side of Uspenskaya Square.

Entrance is free.

Please note: to participate in the program, you need to register for each class, as the number of places is limited! Every week we will publish a new registration form for the next class, so stay tuned. Find links to new registrations here!

The project ‘'StoryLab: Biology of Fairy Tales" is implemented with the support of DTCare / DTCare UA.

The educational platform "Artsvit for Kids" has been operating since 2014. Each of its iterations touches upon new topics and techniques, but one thing remains unchanged  the desire to open the multifaceted world of art to children and refute the idea that it is boring or difficult to understand. We are convinced that through creativity, children get to know themselves better and acquire a variety of skills that are useful in adulthood and in any profession, even technical ones.

However, we would like to emphasize that this project is not an academic education; our teachers do not teach children to draw. Communication is an important factor in the program, we want to integrate children and teenagers into the art community, to organize a dialogue, to refute the idea of art as something boring and difficult to understand. We believe that the younger generation deserves to have a broad outlook, and that art and culture in general not only enrich them aesthetically, but also educate them as conscious citizens.
