The event featured the participation of Victoriia Nikitina, the collection’s curator, and Oksana Barshynova, an art historian and Deputy Director of the National Art Museum of Ukraine. Oleksandra Shovkun moderated the event.
During the presentation, we talked about private collections, their importance and role in Ukrainian art. A special focus has been placed on the unique character and value of our collection for the regional community, as well as its significance for preserving cultural heritage.
We have also presented our approach to creating convenient online access to the collection, including different ways of searching for artworks that may be of interest to users. In particular, we talked about contextual keyword search, which reveals the diversity of the collection and opens up opportunities to explore and discover it from multiple perspectives at once.
We were happy to see you at the event — to hear questions, suggestions, and thoughts on your own vision of the collection and the aspects of it that feel most relevant today.
