We invite you to Tatyana Pukhnavtseva's workshop "A Few Stones from Paradise Places"

The workshop space invites you to talk about a paradise place — and to search for what this place consists of for each person. A bird, a house, constellations, animals and forgotten letters, tall trees and hidden stones — using the principles of combinatorics and the combination of elements, each of the participants will create their own composition on fabric using printmaking techniques.

At the workshop, we will go through the entire process of creating a work from the idea to the final product — a composition-print printed on fabric using an etching machine. We will talk about the laconicism of form and silhouette, symbolism and imagery, and master the technique of working with an etching machine. Through the practice of free drawing, everyone will create images that will serve as the basis of the work; at the workshop, we will examine in detail the principles of transforming a living, free drawing into an accurate printing form for an engraving. We hope that the workshop will become a space for thinking and in-depth conversation — that is why we plan it to last 3 hours, in order to fully immerse ourselves in the process.

The Open Call for Residency in Performative Practices

Together with the residency curator, Waldemar Tatarczuk, we propose to explore performance as an intermedial method of artistic practice — one that allows for experimental approaches to creative processes where action, time, presence, and lived experience become the material.

We welcome applications from performers, theatre practitioners, and people open to collective experimentation with backgrounds in visual arts, contemporary music, DJing, generative media, writing, drag, and other artistic disciplines.
