Come to the summer workshop as part of the "Artsvit for Kids" project

Did you know that all positive and negative emotions live in our body even if we don't show them outwardly?! We've heard the saying: "The body never lies." Therefore, it is very important to undergo healing therapy, including through movement and art. We invite you to a free movement practice out door (in the fresh air), where we will work with breathing, body clamps and find our inner balance again. We will talk and create a performance. Of course, there will be games and fun too!

WHEN: Saturday, July 27, 12:00 (for children aged 6-8) and 14:00 (for children aged 9-13)
WHERE: Artsvit Gallery, Krutohirny Uzviz 21A (entrance from Uspenskaya Square)

Admission is free with mandatory registration. Find the link to the Google Forms here: https://linktr.ee/artsvit_for_kids

The number of places is limited — only 13!
ATTENTION! We ask children to wear comfortable knitted clothes (not jeans) to the class, as well as to bring drinking water and hats.

The event will take place within the program of the educational and performative event of the Dnipro Center for Contemporary Culture "And I Look at the Nearby City".

The programme examines the colonial influence on several generations of Ukrainians from different angles of view, with particular attention to Dnipro and the eastern regions of Ukraine. Many of us grew up in an environment where Russian narratives dominated in education, in the media, and in the art. Today, we critically rethinking the contours and extent of this influence and learning to distinguish what is ours from what was imposed on us. This is not only a cultural process but also a personal one: a process of reclaiming an identity alienated by Moscow-centrism and russification.
