Pop-up exhibition based on the results of the educational program for teenagers “Co-creation”

30 листопада 2024 - 07 грудня 2024

On November 30, we opened a pop-up exhibition based on the results of the Co-creation educational program for teenagers aged 14 to 17, which lasted for two months — from October to November 2024. The exhibition featured works created by the project participants during the workshops, namely:

Art map of Ukraine — the result of a study of the work of artists from different parts of our country, a kind of collection of their works chosen by the program participants;

♦ Printing on fabric — in a lesson with Tetiana Pukhnavtseva, the young people worked with a printing press and built compositions on fabric from their own printing plates. The central theme for this was “protection”, which embodied the image of a fortress: working with the shapes of various towers, towers, houses and other architectural elements, they created a composition where the printing forms form a closed structure and what they “protect” is something vulnerable, beloved, tender and important to each of the participants;

♦ Soundscape — an audio work created during a sound design workshop with Marko Medvedev. The teenagers listened to everything around us: how paper, a paint brush, a measuring tape, keys, etc. might sound. Echoing each other, they created different textures and rhythms, reflecting on things associated with peace. Marko helped us to collect this synergy between the participants at the workshop into a single audio composition;

♦ Video art — this work should reveal one of the character traits of the participants of the workshop with video maker Olena Misiura. When creating the composition, they experimented with the meanings and general perception of individual videos, explored how changes in the arrangement of video art fragments affect the overall perception and mood, what emotions other combinations of frames evoke, and whether new interpretations of the content emerged. With this work, the teenagers not only showed themselves, but also sought points of intersection and interaction with others to eventually create a common narrative. They learned to look at video as a medium that can be transformed and exposed to different contexts.

Participants of the exhibition: Agata Zinchenko, Angelina Skalenko, Veronika Kaplun, Victoria Tereshchenko, Hlib Klochko, Dasha Kozlovska, Yelyzaveta Myroshnychenko, Margarita Bozhko, Margarita Trandafilova, Polina Kutsenko, Polina Sukachova, Sonya Feofanova, Sofia Komarova.
