‘Paradise Animals, Joyful Animals’ — a workshop by Tetiana Pukhnautseva as part of the project ‘Artsvit for Kids. Nature of Ideas | Ideas of Nature’

During the previous class, the children staged a mini-intervention in the exhibition space and saw the "ragged edge" of the exhibition as a perfect location for filming their video performances. At that time, they did not know that this week the author of the exhibition, Tanya Pukhnavtseva, would visit us and show young artists how to create engraving forms from plastic.

At the workshop ‘Paradise Animals, Joyful Animals’, we will talk about WHAT exactly a paradise animal can be, who it is and what it consists of — is it joyful or sad, fluffy or short-legged, does it have wings or three magical tails? We will come up with plenty of bizarre animals, and we will turn the most beautiful, tender, and funniest ones into printing plates and print them on fabric, putting them all together — each child will collect their own team of animals on fabric, learn how to print on an etching press, roll out paint, and work with art prints.

WHEN: Saturday, 18 May, 12:00 (for children aged 6-8), 14:00 (for children aged 9-13)
WHERE: Artsvit Gallery, 21a Krutohirnyy Uzviz. Entrance from Uspenska Square through the glass sliding doors

Waldemar Tatarchuk returns to Dnipro for the closing of his exhibition and will conduct a tour!

This will be the last day of the exhibition — a kind of finale and, at the same time, an opportunity to see the project and hear about it directly from its author. During the tour, the artist will guide visitors through the exhibition and talk about the ideas behind it, as well as his collaboration with Ukrainian artists, which has become an important part of this project.

Soon, the Artsvit Gallery will launch a website about its collection

We often talk about the Artsvit Gallery collection, and sometimes you can see its works at exhibitions in different cities of Ukraine and even abroad. However, most of the time it remains closed — not only to the general public, but also to the professional community.

That is why we want to change this: we are currently working on an online platform that will make our art collection visible and more accessible — for curators, artists, researchers, and viewers. The future website will make it easier to find works, research them, and discover new opportunities for creative collaboration.
